Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach, Oahu

Living on the youngest island in the Hawaiian island chain in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is beautiful but, once in a while I get the "island fever". When I get the fever, I hop on the plane and fly over to Honolulu to get my "city life" fixed - only 50 minute plane ride. Waikiki is my favorite destination location.

This time my hubby and I stayed at a new hotel Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach. This hotel was just perfect for this short getaway that we needed. It had all the basic amenities without a daily resort fee. The price was very reasonable for the location. Started about $250 per night for a King Bed Partial Ocean View Room. Perfect location, two blocks from Waikiki Beach and right across the International Market Place. It had a gym, on-site bar, cafe and store - these were basic amenities that I looked for in a hotel.

Items on my list to do on this short getaway were: sight seeing, shopping, and a lot of eating out - of course. The location of this hotel was very convenient. There were many restaurant options and shopping in walking distance. Close to the Ala Moana Center also, only a short ride with Uber - I preferred over taxi.
