Eating out is one of my favorite things in life, especially during vacation. Trying new restaurants and new dishes excites me. There are so many restaurant options on Waikiki.
Yauatcha
This time I was craving for dim sum in particular - since there is no good dim sum place on the Big Island. I did some research and found there is one dim sum restaurant by the hotel calls Yauatcha at the International Market Place. This restaurant is not your traditional dim sum restaurant. It is a dim sum teahouse with modern decor and setting, with contemporary Cantonese dim sum, tea, wine, and cocktail. Also patisserie inspired by European culinary. They have a big menu. We went there for lunch to try a couple of the dim sum and dessert. We will definitely be back to try them all and to try their happy hour menu at the bar called "Flow & Prosper" - available Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi
For lunch the next day we were back at the International Market Place. This time we went to Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi. A local restaurant by an award-winning chef using local ingredients. My hubby had the Tavern Style Fried Chicken. And I tried their special of the day which was a Korean version of Hawaiian Loco Moco dish. It was so delicious, I cleaned my plate!

Beachhouse at the Moana
Beachhouse at the Moana was our pick for our 4th of July celebration. Located at the Moana Surfrider on Waikiki Beach, just a couple of blocks from where we're staying. Beautiful setting and vibrant island cuisine menu. Perfect for a romantic dinner and special occasions.
